WASH—Dec 18—KIN—Syria and Iran supply intelligence, weapons, financing, operational training and terrorist fighters to the al Qaeda Jihad movement in Iraq, Shehada Jawhar, a Palestinian arms dealer and former al Qaeda terrorist trainer told Al Arabiya TV. Jawhar was called to Jihad against the United States and Israel from his youth in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon where he was a member of the Fatah youth. Fatah is the same organization the United States is trusting to bring about a Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace.

Jawhar boldly revealed from where his authority comes to conduct Jihad against Israel and the United States. Jawhar told the Al Arabiya TV interviewer that al Qaeda did not invent the ideology that motivates Jihad. Asked if he supported the al Qaeda ideology, he said, “What, Al-Qaeda invented this ideology? They got their ideology from the Koran and the Sunna." Jawhar’s interview, posted online by the Middle East Media Research Institute, an organization dedicated to bridging the language gap between the West and the Arab culture, gave some insight into how organized the al Qaeda effort is against Americans and how Syria, Lebanon, Iran and many of the Islamic nations are working together to fight the United States in Iraq.

He said terrorists are supposed to kill infidels: "Whoever fights against 'there is no god but Allah.' Is there anyone who defends the Americans any better than them? The infidels are one and the same. An infidel is an infidel - whether he is a Palestinian, a Jew, or an Argentinean. The infidels are one and the same, while an American Muslim is a Muslim. So what's the problem? What, an Iraqi who is an apostate and who helps the Americans should be treated like a VIP? He is worse than the Americans."

Jawhar, who had given the interview in Lebanon, said that Iran and Syria were key to the al Qaeda organization against the United States in Iraq. He said, "It is not in the Syrians' interest for Iraq to remain calm even for a moment. They benefit from this. The more Iraq is destroyed, the more pleased they are…I don't know if you noticed, but the Shi'ites started fighting the Americans only two years ago. It's not the Shi'ites - the Iranians asked them to fight, and sent them weapons, explosive devices, and so on, because if the Americans feel comfortable in Iraq, they will move on to the other areas." The terrorist admitted that Syrian operatives systematically smuggle terrorists into Iraq to fight America.

He said he trained and fought beside Islamists from all nations, including the United States. When asked if he went to Iraq to wage jihad against America, he replied, “Yes. Did you think I went there to join their bowling or basketball team?” Jawhar and hundreds of thousands like him are waging war against the United States. And they will kill anyone who disagrees with them. They believe the Koran calls them to Jihad. Jesus says in Matthew 6:44, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,” but Islam says “kill the unbelievers.” Islam seeks to kill, steal and destroy those who disagree with it. Can there be any doubt about their intent?
