From Tania Koenig: God’s angelic protection of Israel
It was Friday afternoon, April 12. We just had arrived from Brazil, a very busy trip in which many were blessed and set free. It had been a voyage of 28 hours and quite tiring.
William, as a journalist and a former White House correspondent, we have both learned to be very sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and not simply to go after all sorts of news. That afternoon was different, however, as I started singing a prayer for the Israel Defense Forces in Hebrew:
He who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob―may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God, from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under our soldiers’ sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
Soon William joined me. We started praying for the release of angels, warriors, helpers to Archangel MIchael around the borders of Israel in the name of Yeshua.
The glory of the Lord and His presence were tangible. Soon Sabbath came with the sundown. As we do always, we lit the lights, praising Yeshua for being the Light of the world and for His blood, which cleanses and sanctifies us. The presence of the Almighty was strong.
We put some praise videos on the television set. One of them showed the Golan Heights, where William made the comment about its beauty in Galilea. I looked and could see only myriads and myriads of angels there. They were in a position of war and guarding the Golan Heights and all Israel.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand” (Psalm 91:1 AMP).
At that moment we knew no enemy could withstand the presence of the Almighty and His angels in Israel.
”For He will command His angels in regard to you, to protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]” (Psalm 91:11 AMP).
He had commanded His angels to protect, defend, and guard Israel.
“A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but danger will not come near you. You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes and witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High]” (Psalm 91:7–8 AMP).
And so it was―on April 13 Iran launched a large salvo of missiles and drones at Israel. Designated “Operation True Promise,” the attack reportedly included around 170 drones, 120 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, and 30 cruise missiles.
Of the more than 120 ballistic missiles launched at Israel by Iran overnight that Saturday, only a small number reached Israel. The damage that one ballistic missile could make would be devastating. Imagine more than 120.
However, “[Our] help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. . . . Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:2, 4 NIV).
Supernaturally Israel was protected because of many prayers.
We wish you a blessed Passover. May you celebrate it while remembering that the blood of the Lamb of God, who was slain and is able to open the book, is over your house and household.
And I saw a strong angel announcing with a loud voice, “Who is worthy [having the authority and virtue] to open the scroll and to break its seals?” . . . “The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome and conquered! He can open the scroll and [break] its seven seals.” And there between the throne (with the four living creatures) and among the elders I saw a Lamb (Christ) standing, [bearing scars and wounds] as though it had been slain, with seven horns (complete power) and with seven eyes (complete knowledge), which are the seven Spirits of God who have been sent [on duty] into all the earth. (Revelation 5:2, 5–6 AMP)
May the God of Israel keep and protect you and your family, and may no danger come close to you―because He does not slumber or sleep.
Happy Passover!
Chag Pesach sameach!
