PROLOGUE: WHEN FAVOR BECOMES FOLLY
Tucker Carlson opened the interview with a claim that shocked seasoned diplomats and global analysts alike: “Steve Witkoff is the most effective American negotiator we’ve had in decades.” It was the kind of introduction that sets a stage not for diplomacy, but for delusion.
What followed was not a confrontation of evil, but a celebration of access — a conversation wrapped in personal admiration rather than moral clarity.
Steve Witkoff went on to describe his personal rapport with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In an emotional moment during the interview, he shared that the conversations had become deeply personal. Witkoff recounted how Putin had shown him a portrait — a hand-painted likeness of Donald Trump commissioned by the Russian president himself — and asked Witkoff to deliver it as a gift. He spoke of being moved when Putin told him that he had been praying for Trump after the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. “It was very personal,” Witkoff said. “He genuinely cared. It was not political. It was human.” in Pennsylvania, describing Trump as a personal friend.
But what the world saw was something else entirely. While Witkoff and Tucker leaned into flattery, Putin continued escalating his alignment with Iran, increased drone strikes in Ukraine, and deepened military ties with terror proxies.
Even President Trump — who once showed confidence in Putin and allowed Witkoff to act as an envoy — has reportedly grown disappointed with Russia’s recent behavior. As diplomatic channels grow colder, and Iran’s aggression spreads, we are forced to ask:
Why is Steve Witkoff still the one carrying America’s voice?
INTRODUCTION: THE ENVOY, THE STRONGMAN, AND THE SILENCE OF THE CHURCH
The interview was supposed to be strategic. Instead, it exposed everything.
Steve Witkoff sat with Tucker Carlson — a media figure now known for exalting Vladimir Putin, even calling himself “more sympathetic to Putin than Zelenskyy.” Tucker’s questions were soft. His tone deferential. And Putin noticed: “Where were the piercing questions?” he mocked.
But what caught global attention wasn’t Putin’s posture. It was Witkoff’s.
He described Putin as “super smart,” “not a bad guy,” and suggested the Ukrainian regions Russia annexed may rightfully belong to them. He cited fraudulent referendums held at gunpoint as evidence that these regions wanted to be Russian. He claimed he was helping to negotiate peace — but Putin left those meetings and continued to bomb civilian targets with Iranian drones.
Witkoff also attempted to humanize Hamas, calling them “not ideologically intractable,” and suggesting that if they demilitarize, they could eventually participate politically in Gaza. These comments shocked Israeli officials and infuriated hostage families. The Times of Israel and Haaretz ran urgent headlines. Haaretz warned that Witkoff’s words revealed a “harsh new tone” from the Trump team. In Europe, UK officials expressed alarm. One British parliamentarian called the interview “a gift to Putin.”
And once again, the world watched an unqualified man speak in our name.
Let’s be clear: Steve Witkoff is not acting with ill intent. But he may be navigating waters far deeper — and far more spiritually complex — than he was prepared for.
SECTION I: THE INTERVIEW THAT EMBARRASSED A NATION
It was broadcast as a diplomatic breakthrough. But to the world, it was a public unraveling.
Tucker Carlson opened the segment with a declaration that raised eyebrows around the globe:
“Steve Witkoff is the most effective American negotiator we’ve had in decades.”
That one sentence set the tone. Not diplomacy. Not credibility. But flattery — spoken by a host who has already declared that he is “more sympathetic to Putin than Zelenskyy.”
What followed confirmed what many feared: Steve Witkoff was out of his depth — and out of alignment with the moment.
Here’s what Witkoff said:
• “Putin is a great guy. Super smart. I don’t see him as a bad man.”
• “I believe the Russian-speaking regions — Donbass, Crimea, Lugansk, maybe two others — they had referendums. I think they want to be under Russian rule.”
• “If we can just get everyone to the table, including Putin, we can find peace.”
What the world heard was not strategy. It was sympathy for a dictator. A man who has invaded sovereign nations, murdered political critics, aligned with Iran, and unleashed waves of drone strikes on civilians.
And Tucker — instead of challenging Witkoff or Putin — nodded along.
The response from media and diplomats around the world was swift:
• “Fanboy diplomacy.” — The Times of London
• “Witkoff’s interview gave Putin a platform, not a challenge.” — Sky News Australia
• “America sent a real estate broker to negotiate with a war criminal.” — Israeli security analyst
Israel’s Haaretz warned the interview could impact U.S.-Israel cooperation, calling it a “dangerous misread of regional powers.” The Guardian reported that UK officials privately expressed concern that “Trump’s camp is being influenced by Moscow’s strategic narrative.” In Ukraine, political analysts viewed Witkoff’s comments as a betrayal, with one government advisor accusing him of “normalizing Kremlin propaganda.”
SECTION II: THE TRUMP FACTOR — DISAPPOINTMENT, DISTANCE, AND A PROPHETIC WARNING
Meanwhile, where is Secretary of State Marco Rubio?
Reports have surfaced suggesting Rubio’s frustration over Witkoff’s prominent role in these negotiations. A CNN article claimed that Rubio risked being overshadowed by Witkoff, one of President Trump’s close associates. Rubio publicly refuted this narrative, labeling the report as inaccurate.
In a subsequent interview with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson, Rubio acknowledged Witkoff’s direct engagement with Putin, noting that the meeting was productive and not a waste of time.
These developments underscore the complex dynamics within the U.S. administration’s approach to foreign diplomacy. But from a prophetic perspective, the question remains: If Rubio is our Secretary of State — a man with the experience, the conviction, and the moral clarity — why is his voice not the one leading?
Why is our Secretary of State being sidelined while misalignment is speaking for the nation?**
President Donald Trump has never been afraid of hard choices. He stood with Israel when others trembled. He challenged NATO. He exposed Iran. He understands leverage and threat.
But now, Trump seems frustrated. After Witkoff’s soft defense of Putin aired, Trump expressed clear disappointment.
“I’m pissed off,” he reportedly told NBC. “If Putin doesn’t change course, I’ll sanction every barrel of Russian oil that touches the global market.”
And according to State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce: “There was an idea from Russia about a temporary administration that was not appreciated by the president.” She added, “Ukraine is a constitutional democracy. Governance in Ukraine is determined by its constitution and the Ukrainian people.”
This is not just policy tension. It’s a spiritual fracture.
Witkoff believed proximity was enough. But what he lacked was the discernment to recognize the hour. Putin is aligning with Iran, Hamas, and radical regimes. Instead of confronting that, Witkoff affirmed it.
A prophetic assignment can be weakened when it is misrepresented. A righteous cause can be mocked when the wrong person carries it. And a mantle can be challenged — not because of the message, but because of the messenger.
SECTION III: A QUIET MEETING, A LOUD MESSAGE: THE DMITRIEV-WITKOFF ENCOUNTER
While the world was still processing Witkoff’s flattery of Putin, a new headline emerged — one that revealed just how far this informal diplomacy had gone.
On March 27, 2025, Steve Witkoff quietly hosted Kirill Dmitriev, Putin’s top economic envoy, for a closed-door meeting at the White House. It was the first time in years that a senior Russian official had visited Washington for direct talks.
To make the meeting possible, the U.S. Treasury temporarily lifted sanctions against Dmitriev — described by the Biden administration as “a known Putin ally.” The State Department then granted him a travel waiver.
“Of course, there are disagreements on various points,” Dmitriev told reporters in Russian. “But there is a process and a dialogue that, in our understanding, will help overcome these differences.” (New York Times, March 31, 2025)
He also stated that U.S. companies were showing “great desire to return to Russia,” and discussed possible cooperation in the Arctic, rare earth metals, and aviation.
What’s most striking is this: this meeting happened while Trump was publicly voicing anger toward Putin, calling him out for obstructing ceasefire talks and for suggesting Ukraine needed a new government.
This disconnect reveals the problem: while Trump is voicing frustration and warning Putin of economic retaliation, his own envoy is negotiating trade incentives with one of Putin’s closest allies.
This isn’t strategy — it’s a spiritual contradiction.
And it raises a serious question:
Whose voice is speaking on behalf of America — and is it aligned with truth?
SECTION IV: PUTIN, IRAN, AND THE UNFOLDING SPIRITUAL REALIGNMENT
Steve Witkoff claimed diplomatic success. But Putin’s trajectory raises critical concerns.
He has continued strategic cooperation with Iran, intensified his military operations in Ukraine, and positioned Russia as a supposed stabilizing force in the Middle East — all while subtly questioning the U.S. posture and Israel’s actions in Gaza. These moves may seem politically calculated, but they reveal a deeper spiritual ambiguity that calls for discernment.
Putin is increasingly aligning with regimes whose interests often stand in direct tension with biblical values and Western stability.
Meanwhile, Witkoff told the world: “I thought he was straight up with me.”
This does not reflect wise engagement. It reflects a misreading of the spiritual and geopolitical moment.
According to The Telegraph (UK), senior Iranian officials have begun reexamining their proxy strategy. Tehran reportedly plans to withdraw forces from Yemen, scale back support for the Houthis, and avoid direct confrontation with the United States — all in response to ongoing negotiations and increasing diplomatic pressure. The centerpiece of these conversations: Donald Trump.
Sources close to the Russian side confirm that recent discussions between Moscow and Washington include a condition that the United States would refrain from any direct attack on Iran, in exchange for curbing Iranian proxy activity.
And in the midst of all this, we must ask: is Israel the one poised to pay the highest price? As global powers negotiate around threats and proxies, Israel remains surrounded — its safety, its sovereignty, and its prophetic role increasingly vulnerable to decisions being made without her at the center.
What is being framed as diplomacy may in fact be spiritual appeasement. And beneath the surface, something deeper is unfolding: the beginning of the fulfillment of prophecy — that all nations would one day turn against Israel.
At the heart of recent conversations between the U.S. and Russia lies not only the threat of war, but also the hunger for resources. Rare earth metals — critical for energy, defense, and global control — are driving new alliances. Russia has made it clear: any Western move toward Greenland, or in the Arctic, will be seen as provocation. And Trump’s interest in accessing those same minerals has become a motivating force for coordination with Moscow.
So now, even in the guise of peace, there is a deeper battle unfolding — one that is about wealth, dominion, and strategic power. And in the midst of it all, Israel risks being marginalized, as prophetic warnings begin to unfold before our eyes.
When you see Iran, Russia, and Hamas praised in the same breath, you are not watching diplomacy — you are witnessing a convergence that demands spiritual discernment.
SECTION V: A CHURCH THAT SEES, A PRESIDENT WHO MUST HEAR
SECTION VI: WHAT WAS REALLY DECIDED — UNPACKING THE WITKOFF-DMITRIEV MEETING
On the surface, the March 27, 2025 meeting between Steve Witkoff and Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev was framed as economic diplomacy — a quiet effort to reestablish trade dialogue through rare earths, aviation, and Arctic cooperation.
But beneath that surface was a deeper agenda.
According to multiple international reports, the real substance of the meeting was rooted in strategic restraint: Russia is said to have offered a deal — they would urge Iran to scale back regional provocations, including support for the Houthis and proxy forces — in exchange for an American assurance that no direct strike would be launched against Iran.
This wasn’t just about markets. It was about protection — strategic insulation for Tehran, brokered through a sanctioned emissary, sitting in the White House with the blessing of the U.S. Treasury.
The sanctions were lifted temporarily. The message, however, may last longer than the meeting itself.
If Russia is trading influence over Iranian aggression in exchange for protection from American force, then Israel is not just uninformed — she’s being outmaneuvered.
Israel’s Position: No official Israeli response yet, but several commentators in Haaretz and Jerusalem Post warned that deals made with Iran’s allies (or through Russian intermediaries) could weaken Israel’s security environment.
This is the deeper concern — and this is the reason for prayer.
Because what is being brokered as “balance” may actually be realignment — the kind that leaves Israel increasingly isolated in a moment that demands vigilance and conviction.
And this is not just speculation.
Israel’s Position:
No official Israeli response yet, but several commentators in Haaretz and Jerusalem Post warned that deals made with Iran’s allies (or through Russian intermediaries) could weaken Israel’s security environment.
That is why the Church must pray.
Because Israel cannot afford to be bypassed.
And we cannot afford to be silent.****
This is about spiritual alignment. Steve Witkoff is not carrying the assignment with the weight it requires.
He was introduced as “the most effective negotiator in decades.” What followed was flattery, not fear of the Lord.
We love President Trump. We honor his courage and calling. But even great leaders must occasionally hear from those who fear God more than man.
Mr. President, would Steve Witkoff truly be the voice to carry your mission? The Church supports you, and we are praying — but we must also speak in love and truth. This moment requires voices with clarity, conviction, and alignment with the hour.
To the Church: Do not sleep. Do not stay neutral. Do not let access and charisma replace calling and character.
It is time to fast. It is time to pray. It is time to speak truth with love, and boldness with clarity.
History is shifting. And Heaven is watching.
