I am a Dutch citizen. And I have never seen anything like what I just witnessed—not in The Hague, not in Amsterdam, and not in all my years in this country.
Watching live from a Dutch television channel, I saw the unimaginable: crowds lining the streets, awaiting the arrival of “the Beast”—the armored presidential car—carrying Donald J. Trump. At Huis ten Bosch Palace, kings and queens, presidents and prime ministers gathered to welcome him. And for the first time, it was not Europe extending royal protocol to one of its own, but bowing to a man America once rejected and the world can no longer ignore.
We are a constitutional monarchy, but make no mistake—we are also a Republican people in our principles. We cherish liberty, accountability, and national sovereignty. We remember history, even when others try to erase it.
The Bow to Obama, Clinton—And Now Trump
I have seen Europe bow—to the smooth oratory of Barack Obama, to the polished diplomacy of Bill and Hillary Clinton, and to the progressive illusions of a world without consequence. But this was different.
They weren’t bowing to elegance or eloquence. They were responding to authority.
Donald Trump does not fit our expectations. He offends the professional class, baffles diplomats, and confuses his allies. He changes his mind. He disrupts systems. He can seem, at times, his own worst enemy.
And yet—he is the man the Lord has chosen for this hour.
That statement may cost me friends. It may draw accusations of blind loyalty or political idolatry. But I say it not out of allegiance to a party, but in obedience to a prophetic sense I can no longer ignore.
A Vessel, Not a Messiah
Let us be clear: Donald Trump is not the Messiah. He is not a savior. But he is, as flawed men often are in the Bible, a vessel used by God—for judgment, for protection, for course correction. Just as Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, and Jehu were instruments in their time, so too is Trump in ours.
Many believers stumble over him. They want someone they can understand. Someone consistent. Someone polite.
But God is not looking for someone we can manage. He is looking for someone who can shake the nations and restrain the lawlessness that is gaining ground.
The Hour of Decision
This is not about style. It’s about standing. This is not about one man’s personality. It’s about what he carries—a disruption that prevents a premature global unity apart from God. A delay of the Beast system, if only for a moment longer.
Let the Dutch remember our courage in the past. Let Europe remember the price of ignoring rising threats cloaked in peace language. Let the Church stop being embarrassed by God's choices when they don’t look like our pastors in suits.
We don’t have to follow Trump in everything. He does change every two minutes. But maybe—just maybe—that’s the only kind of man who could survive the furnace he was sent into.
Let’s Make America Great Again—God’s Way
Let us make America great again—not with slogans alone, but with prayers, with submission to the Word of God, and with full allegiance to Christ Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Let us pray for those in authority, as Scripture commands. And let us not miss our moment—because the King is watching.
