We had to get to the pet supply store in the middle of the five o’clock traffic. The store is in another town from where we live.
After arriving at the store, we learned that they were out of the brand of dog food that our dog takes.
I thought we went all that way there and no dog food. I asked the attendant about another specific pet store that may have it. He didn’t know.
We walked back to the car. I got in, but my husband stayed outside finishing some work on his iPhone.
As I am waiting in the car, I am thinking we came all the way here and with all that traffic. And, here I am in the car waiting for my husband. And, I don’t know about going back in the store to tell that man about Jesus. Okay, Lord, I didn’t come all this way to end up with no dog food. And, that attendant does not know you. But, if I go back in, what do I tell him to get started on a conversation about You? Never mind, "I will just go back in and You will help me.”
I walked back into the pet store. The man is behind a counter at his desk working on the computer. I said, “That other pet store that you mentioned, where is it?” He does not look at me, but said, “Let me look it up and give you the information.”
He writes down the information on an envelope and hands it to me. I then said to him, “Has anyone told you that God loves you?” He said, “Yes, all the time.” Well, I said to him, “ Don’t you want to know whom this God is that others are telling you about?”
He gets up from his desk, comes around the counter and approaches me. I was a little bit uncomfortable. “Well, do you want to know him?“ I said again. He gets a little closer. I am more uncomfortable. His deep blues eyes are looking straight into mine. “Yes, I would.” He said. Okay, let’s pray. Pray with me. We start praying and he gives his life to Jesus.
I told him, “Now this God lives inside of you.” He will never leave you. I asked him if had a Bible. He said that he does. I told him where and how to start reading.
He moved away from me. He started walking behind the counter. He placed his hand on his chest and said, “ I always thought that God was with me, but now I know He is with me, inside of me.”
Abba, that was not easy. I was a little scared. But, You had Your way. Thank You for holding William on that phone for a while until you gave me the courage to obey. I can’t even swallow due to the tears of what You did, Father.”
“Messiah, I can hardly contain the joy of seeing this man believe in You even though I was so unsure what to do or say. But, You, Messiah, were after Him to be with You for eternity!”
“Holy Spirit, thank you for Your help to obey the Lord. I couldn’t have done it without You."
“Abba, Great are You! Holy is Your Name. Powerful and glorious are Your ways when You move on a heart of a lost soul to believe in Your Son, Yeshua.”
