A month ago after finally settling into our Hotel in Sydney, Australia, we decided to take a walk around one of the worlds most beautiful cities.
We walked into a very attractive old stone walled mall that had a coffee/restaurant area. We noticed that by a coffee stand there was a line of people. We approached the stand and asked a man about the line. He told us that the people were waiting for their coffee. He asked us where we were from, took our order and gave us our coffee quickly. We were surprised that we did not have to stand in line.
I asked him if he was the owner. He said that he was. We talked about how his business had started and his success. He told us that he used to do drugs and alcohol. He later went to AA. Then he began to make new friends. This helped him see that having friends that are a good influence made a big difference in his life. He then opened the coffee stand/restaurant and worked at finding the best coffee and milk, which had made his business a big success.
He asked about us and we told him about our ministry for Israel. He said that his mother used to make him and his siblings go to church. He also went to the children’s Bible class.
We drank our coffee. It was very good! We wondered what was in it. We wanted to ask him, but business was getting busier. We had to end our conversation and leave.
We took a long walk in the city. Then went back into the old stoned mall area. All of a sudden the owner of that coffee stand was beside us. In his hand was a carton holding four coffees. He was making a delivery. We were so surprised to run into each other in a place full of people. I knew then, that God was after his soul.
We told him that his coffee is one of the best that we’ve had. He thanked us. He began a conversation about his business again. He told us that his wife was the big help behind it.
I told him that he has a greater help than that. He said,” I know that there is a greater power.” I said to him, “That greater power is the One that is after your soul. He is the Son of God who loves you and gave His life for you. Your coffee business would not be what it is were it not for Him.”
I asked him if had ever prayed to believe in Jesus. He again said, “I know that there is a greater power.”
I said, “Yes, and I am telling you who He is.” I could tell that he was feeling a little shaky. I said, “We are now going to pray for you to know Him.” He seemed a little shaky still but decisive. I knew that it was the power of the Holy Spirit dealing with him. I said, “Let’s pray.”
His eyes were focused on mine. We prayed together. He repented of his sins, asked Jesus to be His Savior and surrendered His life to Him for His glory.
He is still for a moment. He looks at my husband and said, “This is a powerful woman.” My husband agreed and smiled with him. He said, “She loves Jesus.”
I knew that it is the power from the Holy Spirit revealing Salvation in Jesus Christ to Him.
I asked him if he had a Bible. He said, “Yes, my grandfather’s.” I told him, “Your grandfather’s prayers for you have just been answered as have your mothers!”
I instructed him where to start reading the Bible. He took a clear note of it and said that he will do this. He smiled big and he looked steadfast in Who he has just believed. He thanked me again and again. We praised and rejoiced in the Lord together and thanked Him.
“Abba, who can resist the power of the Love of Christ! It is because of Your kindness that we are drawn to repentance.”
“Lord, Jesus, You who purged us from our sin and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High, have listened to the prayers of this man’s grandfather and mother and saved his soul. Thank You, Messiah.”
“ Thank You, Holy Spirit for leading our footsteps back into the stone walled mall in Sydney, Australia for the One soul You were drawing to the Savior due to the prayers of the Saints. Their labor in prayer and in taking that man when he was a child to church, planted the seed of the Rock in his heart, and He is now standing on it.”
“There is no higher power than the Saviour of Souls, The Messiah, Yeshua, Son of the God of Israel, who is soon to return to Jerusalem and there is one more soul that He will be gathering on that day! Glory to You, Lord.”
