We were at the Apple store, and, as usual, it was filled with mostly young people, after the latest Apple product. The sales associates were also mainly young. They were very tied up with serving as many customers as possible, so I was unsure as to how to get anyone to help us.
Then a young, international man approached us and asked us what we needed and what our names were. We talked a little about where he was born and raised. I could tell he was not ready for the gospel. He assured us that someone would come assist us.
We waited for a while. Then a young, Asian man approached us. He was very kind, and I noticed he had a very big, colorful tattoo on his right arm. He asked what he could help us with. We were prepared to purchase an item and leave. He was bottom line, as was I.
Just to test if he was ready to hear the gospel, I started a conversation by asking him how long he had been working with Apple. He said that he had been there three months. He shared that he was a manager at another store, but had decided to go to school full-time. So, he was now working part-time.
I asked him what he was studying. After he described his degree plan, I realized his course work was overwhelming and said, “You are going to need help with all of that.” Aware of his need, he responded, “I am!” I asked him, “Well, do you want to know who can help you?” With serious eyes, he looked at me and asked, “Who?” I responded, “God. He has a Son who loves you. He wants to help you.” He smiled and said, “My girlfriend knows about all that.” I told him, “I am not asking about what your girlfriend knows. I am asking you what you know.” Shyly, he said, “Me? Nothing.” I looked him straight in the eye and said, “Well, you are going to know now. We are going to pray so that you do know who God is. Let’s pray.” I was not sure what he was going to do. He then focused on my eyes. I repeated, “Let’s pray.” In the midst of all the people around us, we prayed, and this young man gave his life to Jesus!
He was overjoyed and had a peace in his eyes. He gave a wide smile and extended his hand to thank me. There was color in his face. He knew he was saved. In a moment, he moved from darkness into the light!
I asked him if he had a Bible. When he said that he did, I instructed him as to where to start reading and how to start reading. I gave him information on a church he could attend to learn more about his decision for Jesus and God’s Word.
Now he has his helper, and not only does his girlfriend know, he does too. Her prayers have been answered! Her labor for his soul has given Jesus another stone on His crown!
“Abba! I didn’t know that this young man was going to belong to your Son. I had to go about it so quickly. He was so ready!”
“Messiah! I could have missed this because I was not sure of how things were going to go, due to my having to do this purchase so fast. I was unsure about getting him to You. But my heart was throbbing for his soul!”
“I am always so surprised, Messiah, when you save a soul. My tears are always in my heart as I hold them back for You to finish the work. My words of worship to you are stuck in my throat, as I rejoice with all the angels in heaven before You, Savior of Souls.”
“Holy Spirit, had it not been for your help to have this chosen, young man’s footsteps come toward us because the Messiah had called him for Himself, and had you not given me the courage to tell him about Jesus, this soul would not have been reaped. Thank You.”
I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. - John 12:46

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4:6
For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. - 2 Timothy 2:10
