While looking for a kitchen tool at a store, I noticed a fiery red vase on clearance for ten dollars. I don’t have a flower vase, and this one reminded me of the Spanish pottery that is part of my heritage.
A few days later, I went back into the store to look for the kitchen tool again. A Hispanic lady was organizing the shelf where the vase was hidden behind other merchandise. It was unusual to meet a Hispanic employee at this store because, usually, the people who work there are Middle Eastern or Asian.
I asked her if I could see the vase. She handed it to me and remarked that it reminded her of the pottery of certain areas of her country. We talked a little about our Hispanic heritage and culture.
I started to give her, in Spanish, my testimony about God’s love. This was a little difficult because I have not had much practice, but it was a delight to speak the language and have some common ground with this lady.
I began to give her a shortened version of my salvation testimony. Suddenly, God’s profound love covered me so thickly, I could not speak. Stretching out her arms and rubbing them, she said, “I have chills all over me.” She started to cry. I still could not speak. God’s love was so strong and it had engulfed me so that all I could do was cry. We looked at eachother, both of us with tears and unable to say a word for the presence of the Living God.
There we were in the middle of a store aisle as people passing us by as God filled us with the presence of the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the midst of this, a female employee walked up to her and began to work by her side, but my new friend did not allow this to distract her.
I said, “Let’s pray so you too may know Him personally and know you will be in heaven. As she rubbed her arms, we both prayed and cried. She received Christ. Then we both just stood still for a few minutes as the Spirit of God filled her with God’s love. Afterward, we hugged each other.
After that, I had to purchase that vase because of her assistance with it. Not only was there the purchase of a fiery red vase, but the purchase of a new soul because of the fiery, powerful love of God because of the red blood of His Son Jesus!
“Abba, Father, God of heaven and earth, Your love is too strong for me. I cannot contain it. What do I do with it, but tell about Your Son? I could fall to the ground and have nothing more to live for but Him, as Your Spirit fills me with the Love of Your Son!”
“Messiah, Your presence is unshakeable! It makes all stand still as you speak to a soul about Your love, while all the angels bow down to worship You.”
“Holy Spirit, tell it! Keep telling about the Love of the Messiah, ‘til there is nothing more to tell about!”
