By Claudia Koenig:
We met a real estate agent who was very soft and kind in manner. Later, we met her husband who had a humble heart. He was soft-spoken and a bit reluctant to speak what was on his heart about what we were discussing, but he was very kind.
A couple of days later, I told my husband that my heart was being pulled toward that man and his work. I explained that I didn’t have any personal interest in this wife and husband, but that I felt God was pulling me in their direction.
The next day, we met with the husband again. He was dressed very dapper. I asked him what he was so dressed up for. He slowly began to explain that he was trying to purchase a particular church to help out people who attended the church to keep the building. As he talked, his eyes filled with tears.
I asked him if he was a Christian. He said, “Yes.” I asked, “Are you born-again?” He rubbed his hands together and said, “Well that is a way different subject.” He then began to explain a little of his heart about God. My response to him was that people make God so complicated, but that He is not complicated at all.
He then shared stories of his heart about his caring for other people and his understanding of letting God take care of everything for him and that things always worked out.
I told him that God alone was teaching him to understand this and that God wanted him to know Him as his Savior. I explained to him that it was very easy to know God through His Son who died on the cross for his and my sins. His eyes became very sweet. I then told him that I was going to pray with him to talk to God with him for his salvation because God loved him so much.
I started to pray and asked him to join me. He started to pray with me as his eyes stayed on mine, and He gave his life to Jesus! With tears in his eyes, he humbly stayed standing in front of me, born-again! We then talked about the Word of God, studying the Bible, and the importance of being in fellowship with other believers.
“Abba, how is it that You send me to places and people whom You are drawing to know Your Son, when I don’t even know that that is what You are doing!”
“Holy Spirit, how You draw a humble heart to God and make sure that he hears the news about salvation in the Son of God through the love of the cross. Thank You for pressing my heart toward this woman’s husband that he may confess Jesus as His Savior!”

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. - Isaiah 57:15
