We were at the airport on our way to Australia. We were at the ticket counter and having a problem with the online visa approval due to a minor number error. This caused us to miss our flight. But, we knew that God was in it.
We went to the airport the following day. We were with the ticket agent with whom we last spoke the day before.
As he is checking us in, we tell him that we know that God is in the situation. He tells us that he believes in the “here-after.” That opened the door for me to tell him about Jesus, and heaven and hell.
I asked Him if he knew if he was going to heaven. He said that he hoped to. I ask him if he believed in hell. He said again that he is certain that there is a “here-after.”
I asked him again if knew how to get to heaven. He said that it is by being good and doing good things. He said, “I tell my wife and children that I am assured that there is a “hear-after” and that I have no doubt. I can sense it!”
I told him that it is important to do good things, but that it is not the way to heaven. And, that it is true; there will be a “here-after” - heaven or hell.
People were lining up behind us. We had to move out of the line and I was not able to continue the conversation.
We had some time before our flight. I looked around and I saw that a little distance from the ticket counter there are some chairs. I told my husband, “Let’s wait until the line ends. I have to talk with him again. His soul is ripe. I have to get to him.”
We waited, as the line of people got shorter. I am praying that no one else gets in line. And, I am asking God for courage. I am asking the Holy Spirit to prepare this man to pray and believe in Jesus and to give me the words to speak to him.
Finally, the line ends, and the man suddenly walks away, disappearing into an office. We wait for him to return, but he didn’t. I begin to pray, “ Lord, Messiah, bring that man back out. His soul is ready. You have prepared it. He needs you. I can’t leave him like that. I am waiting on You. Please hear my cry. Help me.”
I told my husband that I have to wait because his soul is ready for Jesus. I am focused on that back office, waiting on God to bring the man out. I then noticed another ticket agent who is walking around. I approached her and asked if she would please go and get the man. She looked at me rather puzzled, but goes to get him.
The man comes out of the back office. We approach him. William helped me to open the conversation by asking a question about the flights. I then interject and told him that I am interested in his thought about the “here-after.” I told him that there is a heaven and hell. I told him about Jesus and what He did for us. I asked him if he would like to pray to know Him and to be assured that his “here-after” will be heaven. He said that he would.
Looking straight into each other’s eyes, I studied him as we pray together and he repents of sins and received Jesus as His Savior. I explained where and how to read the Bible. He said that he would read it. I told him that from here on out no matter what, he would be in Heaven with His Savior, The Messiah, The Son of God, Jesus. He shook my hand strong and thanked me with great certainty that He had full understanding of His decision.
“Abba, Father, How you gave me the heart to wait with You for this soul. My tears of joy are not enough to express what I see in people’s eyes as their souls comes out of darkness into the Light.”
Messiah, we bow down at your feet. With our voices of thanksgiving we worship, You. One more soul is added to Your crown of glory and power!
“Spirit of God, thank You for helping us wait by missing a flight and standing by to speak with him as you perused this man’s soul.”
“We humble ourselves before God all Majestic. In our silence we sense the miracle of grace and truth in the Son of God, Yeshua.”
