By Claudia Koenig:
While one supervisor was giving her life to Christ at the grocery store, another woman who was a manager was listening to the conversation. I became a little nervous because I wanted to make sure the supervisor would be saved, but the manager was observing us and listening.
After I finished my conversation and prayer with the supervisor for her salvation, I went to my car to get a Bible and DVD. When I returned, the supervisor and manager were talking. I gave the items to the supervisor and explained to her where to start reading the Bible and what the DVD was about.
I wasn’t sure how to approach the manager about Christ, so I just explained why I was giving the items to the other woman and then started to speak to her in Spanish to share the gospel. I asked her if she believed in Jesus. She said she went to an evangelical church. I asked, “Have you ever prayed to ask Jesus to be your Saviour?” She said, “No, but I have prayed the our Father.” I explained why we should believe in the Son of God for our personal salvation for our souls. I then asked her if she would like to pray. She responded, “Yes.” While people shopped and customers moved all around us, we prayed. This woman repented of her sins and asked Jesus to be her Saviour and thanked Him. I asked her if she had a bible. She said she did but that she did not read it. I explained the importance of reading the Bible. She said she would read it. I then went to my car again to get a DVD for her.
Both of them were observing each other as each talked with me and prayed for their salvation in Jesus Christ—both, out of darkness into the light!
“Abba Father, little did I know that you were going to lead two women to Christ in those moments of checking out my groceries.”
“Jesus, how different they were, one Ethiopian and the other, El Salvadoran. Both of their hearts were ready to know You. I had to learn a little about the Ethiopian to know how to reach her and then learn a little of the El Salvadoran to know how to reach her as well.”
“Holy Spirit, only You know how to speak through the diversity of cultures to the need of empty hearts seeking the love of God. Thank You for helping me to know what to say to each one that they may believe in Jesus.”
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. John 1:7
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. John 12:46
